About Me
Amanda is a graduate of UCLA, with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and with a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media. Having graduated with a passion for storytelling, Amanda returned to school to study 2D/3D design drafting/modeling and live productions.
Amanda is currently a Scenic Design and Interior Design student at Los Angeles Mission College to earn the Certificate in Technical Theatre and an A.A. in Interior Design. The teachings of her mentors, CalArts alumni, Robert Cucuzza and Briana Pattillo, have contributed to Amanda's high artistic standards and commitment to the craft. Her love for visual storytelling inspires her to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts degree in either Theatrical Scenic Design or Themed Entertainment and Experience Design.
As a Scenic Designer, Amanda's goal is to create imaginative but effective and powerful designs. Amanda shines in providing detailed research and collaborating with designers and directors to create a cohesive narrative.
Amanda is a youth educator, currently teaching and mentoring elementary grades. She is also a Production Crew Member at Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts (YADA) in Los Angeles to continue working with and teaching children about the visual and performing arts.
